Excellent course, great trainer, very clear to learn the information provided. Thank you!
Attended a full Safeguarding Train the Trainer course and found myself in a relaxed and friendly environment, captivated by an extremely experienced and knowledgeable trainer! It was a large group of around 14 candidates but the course was well guided and each Individual was given the time they needed to ask questions and share personal experiences! All in all a thoroughly enjoyable course, Thank you Franklins

Excellent company offering a wide range of valuable courses. The trainers are very knowledgable in their professions and deliver an outstanding training package.
Refreshed my memory from previous external training and gave additional information. Using real fire to extinguish was more practical and informative.
At the care home I work in and previous ones we have had Franklins do the fire and basic first aid training, this week we had the fabulous Gary Ellis do the training and he is a wonderful approachable trainer who answers every question thoroughly, would recommend him every time.

All staff must receive fire safety training on induction, periodically I.e., annually via E-Learning or face to face practical training. Fire Warden or Fire Marshal; This depends on your work setting, a care home for example would require a Fire Warden, whereas an office would be looking for a Fire Marshal. A Fire Warden would take control of a situation, attend a fire panel and delegate. A Fire Marshal would direct people by marshalling them to a place of safety.
Who is the responsible person?Chris Woolley2023-02-27T10:32:02+00:00
The responsible person is normally the owner/occupier. It is the person who would on a day-to-day basis have responsibility for the business. If a premises is operational 24/7 this would normally be the most senior person on duty at the time.
Why do I need a Fire Risk Assessment?Chris Woolley2023-02-27T10:30:45+00:00
If you employ 5 or more staff a fire risk assessment is a legal requirement. On 1st October 2006 The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 came into force and encompassed all other fire safety legislation in the UK requiring a responsible/competent person to carry out an assessment of their fire risks and record them.
