Fire Marshal / Warden Virtual Training Course

3 hours

Aim:

Aimed at candidates who have been given a designated role within their organization for fire safety, this course is designed to give an understanding of fire and its characteristics and to help staff recognize the different ways they can make their place of work a safe environment in terms of fire safety.

Objectives:

  • Awareness of key fire safety duties

  • Passive fire precautions within your premises

  • Recognition of habitual human behavior in a fire situation
  • Knowledge and understanding of the role of the fire warden/marshal
  • Awareness and understanding of basic principles of risk assessment
  • Awareness and knowledge of correctly preventing a fire
  • Understanding how to limit the impact of fire
  • Common principles of evacuation
  • Organizing and carrying out fire drills

  • Implementing efficient fire safety measures

At the end of the training session, candidates will have covered the following modules:

  • Regulatory reform (Fire Safety) order 2005
  • Aims and objectives
  • Fire safety law and legislation
  • Health and safety at work
  • Procedures and role of the fire warden/marshal
  • Nominated officer (fire)
  • Firefighting equipment and standards
  • Group discussions on: Candidates place of work, Specific risks within the workplace, Clarifying individual roles. Shared workplaces, Issue and concerns regarding fire warden/marshal roles and fire precautions, General recap.
