Basic Food Safety Course

Franklin’s Training Services have been providing training across the UK for almost 20 years.

Course duration:

3 hours

Aim:

To enable learners to become competent and develop understanding in Basic Food Safety.

Objectives:

  • Identify food safety legislation and understand HACCP.
  • Identify and discuss food contaminants.
  • Identify causes and types of food poisoning.
  • Discuss microbiological and other hazards.
  • Discuss effective personal hygiene, cleaning and disinfection.
  • List ways to prevent infestation.
  • Discuss food allergens.
  • Identify policies associated with food safety.

At the end of the training session, candidates will have covered the following modules:

  • Food Handlers and the Law.
  • Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point.
  • Allergens.
  • Pathogenic Bacteria.
  • Hygiene (Food and Personal).
  • Contamination and Prevention.
  • Safe Storage of Foods.
  • Causes of Food Poisoning.
  • Food Pest.
